The delegation of the Archive Assembly is investigating with the Palestinian Foreign Proxy ways of cooperation and the contribution of the civil society in strengthening the sector of documentation and national identity
The delegation of the Archival Assembly in Palestine, with the representative of the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Omar Awadullah, researched ways of cooperation between the Assembly and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and strengthening the Palestinian documentation sector and strengthening national identity, and the benefits of the Ministry from the Assembly's projects.
The research came during the visit of the delegation of the Archival Assembly today, Sunday, 28/12/2025, the headquarters of the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ramallah, which included both A. Khaled Awad, Chairman of the Assembly and A. Omar al-Khateeb the general coordinator and a. Mahmoud Al-Najjar - Public Relations and A. Sajda Dariaat from the media committee.
I mention the archival delegation, the compassion of Dr. Awadullah on the programs and work projects organized by the delegation to preserve the Palestinian archives.
The head of the assembly assured that the ministry spokesman listened keenly to the ideas put forth by the delegation, especially on the nature of the assembly, its goals and its participants.
During his meeting with the ministry's general spokesman, the delegation discussed the archive standards and the difference between it and data entry, and presented ideas on the possibility of the delegation working on organizing training courses for the ministry staff
Communities exchange suggestions and ideas on the importance of archiving and learning from mistakes of past experiments and their development, especially after the genocide in the Gaza Strip, where archives were completely targeted leading to their loss, burning and dispersion.
The workshop organized by the Archive Assembly during the two and a half years has been notified.
The necessity to coordinate other meetings to discuss ideas, goals and proposals more extensively was emphasized.
On his part, the head of the Archive Assembly Khaled Awad praised the meeting as the acting minister of foreign affairs, noting that it was a fruitful and humorous meeting
Lafta that Dr. Awadullah reaffirmed his support for projects aimed at preserving cultural heritage, stressing the importance of civil society institutions as the essential partner in collecting and preserving documents from institutions, families and individuals.
